Fill Your Days With Wonder

My roots are deep. This place is in my blood.  Is it possible to inherit a deep and abiding love of a place, as though it were an integral part of your very being?  I attribute my love of the sea and of the seashore, to having spent my early years in Lower Village, Kennebunk, Maine, where members of my family have lived for 8 generations.

My husband and I live further inland now, but the call of the sea is strong.  We answer it by taking a drive on a Sunday afternoon every now and then, just to stroll on the sand, and enjoy the crash of the waves and the scent of the salt in the air.

In all seasons throughout the year,  the beaches of the Kennebunks are places of many faceted beauty.  Always changing, always intriguing, always inspiring.  There is much to see in the present, in this enchanting part of Maine,  As for the past, the area is rich in sea faring history.  Come see, come feel.  Allow yourself to observe, imagine, meditate.

Wander freely,

Susan Brackett
